OK...this is the last birthday post (for this year). I promise. My mom hosted a tapas party Friday night. To celebrate me. Getting older.
Everything was delicious...as usual. (Mr. C was the photographer for this family picture.)
After the family photo...an additional family member showed up for the festivities.
My big brother (Rich) joined us with his friend (Dee). She had just flown in from Texas.
{a little side note: they grew up together and recently rekindled a friendship...20+ years later.}
{a little birthday wish: for him to be happy, healthy, and in a good place in life.}
Emerson and Papa. Precious. Priceless. Makes me smile. And the dessert. How cute is my mom to make these fun cupcakes?
Don't they just make you feel like you're seven again?
And...the gifts. My "better than Martha" mom made me a beautiful
table setting for my dining room table...
Troy and Debbie gave me a great picture of me and Emerson in a "Troy original" frame, a killer yoga video (they are awesome yogis. I aspire to be like them), and some yummy chocolate.
Plus, I received an assortment of fabulous things from my lovely sister-in-law (Denise) and a cute apron and a compost (for that garden I'm starting) from my dear girlfriends...
and all of the cards and happy wishes brightened my day...
and Randi made me a cute key chain...and she and Cade showered me with hugs and kisses.
Thank you. Everyone. I love you.
