A couple of days ago, Mr. C and I spent the day planting our wonderful garden. He built me the boxes several months ago...and became reluctant to fill them...due to the fact is what going to require A LOT of dirt...which in turn meant A LOT of work. However, with the weather turning warmer - it was time to get those plants in the ground.
So, after a little pleading...he gave in and we went to work.
Soon we will have...cucumbers, squash, eggplant, peppers, jalapenos, artichokes, carrots, okra, strawberries... Basil, thyme, mint, rosemary... Delightful.
And look what sprouted up...our first crop. Mojitos anyone?A kid after my own heart.
The garden is so much fun. The kids and I check it every morning.
Anxiously awaiting the fruits of our labor...
And it is beautiful. I love my little "flower sticks" my friend, Lisa, gave me.
(She is my garden guru....my "go to" garden expert...I long for my garden to look like hers.)
Planting a garden = happiness.
