Ten Going on Twenty

although it feels like yesterday,

this darling girl was born ten years ago today.

ten years...

{she recently played beautifully at her piano recital...

where she also won several awards.}

she is a budding artist and was selected to have her work shown

at a district art show this spring.

{of course, she would draw something sweet!}

while at her school yesterday

the librarian came up to me and said she wanted

to introduce herself.

she went on to tell me what a delight my daughter is.

she said, "she is so bright and sweet. she is the only student

that gives me complete book reviews and can

recommend books for the library. I just love her!"

seriously...the librarian!

this little girl teaches me things and shows me the way

on a daily basis. sometimes i have to remind myself that i am the adult!

she is kind, beautiful...

and head strong and opinionated.

{at times, i see so much of my mother in her - i just shake my head and smile.}

and...

i love her

just the way she is.
